Calling All Super Bowl Fans: What If You Watched the Big Game on Wonder of the Seas?

Every year around Super Bowl time, the same question comes up:

Where are we watching the game?

Somebody volunteers their house.

Somebody orders the wings.

Somebody brings the drinks.

Everybody finds a seat around the biggest TV available.

Nothing wrong with that.

But for 2027, I've got another idea.

What if your Super Bowl party was on a cruise ship?

And not just any cruise ship.

Wonder of the Seas.

Yes, You Can Watch the Super Bowl at Sea

Royal Caribbean is promoting a special February 12, 2027 weekend sailing aboard Wonder of the Seas—and they're inviting football fans to turn it into one big Super Bowl celebration.

The game is expected to be shown on the big screen outdoors as well as at multiple locations throughout the ship.

So picture this.

You're out on the ocean.

You've got your favorite team's jersey on.

You've got a drink in your hand.

The wings are coming.

You're surrounded by other football fans.

And instead of sitting in somebody's living room...

You're watching the Super Bowl aboard Wonder of the Seas.

Now THAT sounds like a Super Bowl party to me.

Make the Super Bowl the Vacation

This is the part I really like.

You're not traveling somewhere just to sit down and watch a football game for a few hours.

You're getting an entire cruise.

Before and after kickoff, you've got everything Wonder of the Seas has to offer.

Pools.

Restaurants.

Bars.

Live entertainment.

Shows.

Nightlife.

Activities.

And then when it's game time?

It's game time.

Your annual Super Bowl party just became a vacation.

Bring the Whole Team

This is where I think this could get really fun.

Get the group chat going.

Call your friends.

Call your brothers.

Call your sisters.

Call your football crew.

Call the people you argue with every Sunday during football season. 😂

Everybody grab their jerseys.

And let's go.

You don't even have to root for the same team.

Actually, that might make it MORE fun.

Imagine having Eagles fans, Ravens fans, Cowboys fans, Steelers fans, Dolphins fans, Commanders fans and everybody else traveling together.

And by February, we'll know which two teams actually earned their way into the big game.

Everybody else?

Well...

We're still going on the cruise. 😂

And We're Going to the Bahamas

Football isn't the only attraction.

This Wonder of the Seas sailing is also scheduled to visit the Bahamas, including Perfect Day at CocoCay.

So your Super Bowl weekend could include beautiful Caribbean water, beaches, pools, food, entertainment and everything else that comes with a Royal Caribbean vacation.

Then you cap it off with the biggest football game of the year.

Think about that for a second.

CocoCay + Wonder of the Seas + Super Bowl weekend.

That's a completely different way to do Super Bowl Sunday.

This Could Be One Heck of a Group Cruise

When I saw this information come across my desk, my first thought wasn't:

"I should book somebody on that."

My first thought was:

"We need a GROUP on that!"

Because this is the kind of cruise that's made for traveling together.

Your normal Super Bowl party might have 10, 15 or 20 people.

Why couldn't those same people cruise together?

Instead of asking:

"Whose house are we going to?"

Let's ask:

"Who's getting on the ship?"

Royal Caribbean has opened individual bookings and group space for this sailing, which means this is the time to start putting the team together—not when everybody suddenly remembers the Super Bowl is coming.

Football Fans, I'm Talking to YOU

You don't have to be somebody who cruises every year.

You don't even have to be somebody who's been on a cruise before.

If you're the person who throws a Super Bowl party every year...

If football season basically takes over your Sundays...

If you and your friends are constantly talking trash about each other's teams...

Or if you just want an excuse to take a February getaway...

This might be your trip.

And if the team you love actually makes it to the Super Bowl?

Even better.

So Let Me Ask You...

You've watched the Super Bowl from the couch.

You've watched it at a friend's house.

You've watched it at the sports bar.

Maybe you've even thrown the party yourself.

But have you ever watched it...

from the middle of the ocean?

🏈🚢

Calling all Super Bowl fans.

Let's get the jerseys ready.

Let's get the group together.

And let's watch the biggest football game of the year aboard Wonder of the Seas.

If there's enough interest, maybe it's time for Poet's Year-Round Travel to put a Super Bowl group together.

Who's coming with me?
